‘Provence by Weekend Journals’ is the definitive new guide to exploring this special area of the south of France. Following extensive research and time spent travelling round the region, the Weekend Journals team have uncovered unique and special venues, from hotels that exude Riviera style, to small town restaurants serving classic Provençal cuisine, and museums and shops preserving and presenting the essence of the region.
The book is written by Milly Kenny-Ryder and produced by Simon Lovell. Photography is by Gabriel Kenny-Ryder and is exclusive to Weekend Journals. The team have strong family links to Provence and have been visiting with their families since they were young. Using these connections they have gone off the beaten track to discover the venues that the locals love, while also showcasing some of Provence’s most iconic sites and stories.
The book features over 40 venues and places to visit, from Arles in the west of Provence to Menton in the east. All venues have been visited personally. It also includes exclusive interviews with: beauty entrepreneur, Frédéric Fekkai; photographer and influencer, Jamie Beck; vineyard owner, Madeleine Herbeau; and 2 Michelin star chef, Mauro Colagreco.
