About
Inspiration for design-conscious travellers
We're an independent, family-based team producing guidebooks to inspire people to travel. We uncover the most special places to visit and explore, from boutique hotels to prestigious galleries, independent shops to recently-opened restaurants. Our guidebooks feature a curated selection of venues across each region, alongside captivating photography, and exclusive interviews with local makers and creators.
The guidebooks themselves are high-quality products, contemporary and minimal in style with a focus on the pictorial element. They are designed to be collected - to keep and display - rather than as functional, throw-away guidebooks.
Words are by Milly Kenny-Ryder and design is by Simon Lovell. Photography is by Gabriel Kenny-Ryder and is exclusive to Weekend Journals. All venues are visited personally and there is no advertising or paid promotion within any of our books.
Weekend Journals have received coverage in regional and national press including Conde Nast, Stylist, Evening Standard, Financial Times, House Beautiful, Sunday Times Travel, delicious magazine, Olive magazine, British Airways Highlife and Coast magazine.
Our guidebooks are sold in over 50 shops across the UK, from independents - such as Artwords, Know the Origin, Magma and The Hambledon - to larger stores including Selfridges, Daunt Books, Fortnum & Mason and Stanfords. They are also sold in over 15 countries around the world.
